Governors Meeting

The Governing Body met on Monday 8th February.

The Governing Body met on Monday 8th February.

The three newly elected parent governors were welcomed to the meeting.  Governors were updated on business conducted at the Finance & Staffing Committee held prior to the FGB who had discussed the budget and the Budget Management Policy.

Members discussed the Governor Visits guidelines and procedures, the school website, SEN offer update and safeguarding.  Governors supported the excellent work being undertaken in school to support children's wellbeing across the whole of the school.

A Health & Safety inspection had recently been undertaken which had gone well. The Premises Committee will be meeting to discuss the action plan from the report.

The Head updated Governors on the Prevent Duty (which includes radicalisation), this is a new requirement for all schools nationally to be aware of and to have a document in place to support this.  Discussion also took place regarding the assessment procedures in line with the new National Curriculum and governors talked about updated Ofsted information about inspections.

The next meeting will be held on Monday 14th March.
